Admission
At Olivia Montessori, we have a straight forward admission process. First step: call us or message us on WhatsApp and book an appointment to see the school environment (school orientation) and meet the founders. Second step: finalize the admission by filling a physical application form, submitting the necessary documents and payment of fee.
The recommended age for a child to start her preschool is 3 years as on 1st of June. The age cut-off is as per National Education Policy 2020 and Karnataka Education Policy.
No, there is no assessment for children. We do not evaluate parents or children. A school orientation followed by a one-on-one meeting with the parents, helps both parties (school and parents) determine whether there is a good match.
Monday to Friday between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM
Monday to Friday between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
Yes, before the session starts or before the date of joining given for your child, a Parent Orientation is held for all the parents.
Fee
The fee structure consists of Application Fee and Annual Tuition Fee. For more details regarding fee, please visit Olivia Montessori with a prior appointment. Call on +919731160600
The fee is payable in 4 Installments. The first one is paid at the time of admission, the 2nd is paid before the start of the session. 3rd in the month of September and 4th in the month of December.
We accept payments through RazorPay, Google Pay, Debit Cards, Credit Cards, Net Banking, UPI’s, Wallets, cash and cheque.
No refunds are provided for Application Fee and the First Installment of the Annual Tuition Fee. Any subsequent tuition fee paid shall be refunded only after deduction of (A) and (B).
(A) proportionate tuition fee calculated based on the months a child has attended in a period of 12 months. If a child has attended >5 days, it shall be considered as 1 month. (B) less 30% (educational resources, supplies, maintenance etc.)
Educators
Olivia Montessori is stringent on the quality of certifications obtained by educators. We only employ teachers who hold the relevant certification from reputed, registered and certified Montessori and Teacher Training Institutions with at least a decade of experience. Every teacher at Olivia Montessori has to go through a training designed by Olivia Montessori.
For the Preschool Program we have five adults for thirty children including two assistant maids.
Teachers have a varied experience. Olivia Montessori employs a combination of freshers and experienced teachers to maintain balance between skills, energy levels, creativity, leave, emotions, personal strengths etc. as teaching, guiding and managing >20 children requires many skills. A well balanced team with all the necessary skills promotes positive learning.
Apart from meeting the teachers during the 4 Parent Teacher Meetings, parents can meet the teachers by taking a prior appointment. In general, teachers at Olivia Montessori schedule 3-4 additional meetings whenever necessary.
Environment
About 14-16 children in a Toddler’s Environment and 30 children in the Preschool Environment.
Olivia Montessori has 3 grades or levels. Mont.1 (3 to 4 years), Mont. 2 (4 to 5 years) and Mont.3 (5 to 6 years).
The environment is cleaned everyday. The shelves, chowkis, material’s and tables are wiped with Dettol.
Yes, the environment is safe for chidden. There are no hazardous materials in the classroom environment, few corners have been proofed with sponge protection.
Curriculum
Olivia Montessori follows a Montessori inspired curriculum within the framework provided under National Curriculum Framework issued by the Government of India under it’s National Education Policy.
Yes, the curriculum is child led.
The day to day activities of children are decided based on the progress of children. We do not plan a timetable of activities for all the children. Activities are shown individually to each child based on their level of development, interest and practice.
